1. Who writes the blog
Every article is reviewed and approved before publication by Ryan Hannan, Techtree's founder and CEO, and carries his byline. His author page lists every article he has published.
2. Where our prices come from
Every Techtree price in an article comes from our own price book: the same numbers as the instant quote and the model pages. Prices in articles are not typed in by hand. They update automatically when the price book does, and the price book is reviewed every day. Each article shows the date its prices were last updated, next to the byline.
"Up to" means the best configuration we buy in the stated condition, complete and working. Your offer depends on your exact configuration and condition, and your quote is the authority. See how we set prices and every current price in the trade-in price index.
We publish our own prices only. We do not quote other buyers' offers. Figures that describe the past, such as what we paid in an earlier month, are dated in the text and do not change.
3. Facts and sources
Device facts such as specifications, release dates, software support and reset steps are checked against primary sources: the manufacturer's own documentation, carrier policies and official specifications. Every article lists its sources at the end, and each link is opened and checked before it is cited. Videos we embed come from the publisher's own channel.
4. What we recommend
When an article explains how to sell a device that is locked, damaged or worn, it says plainly what Techtree can and cannot buy, so you know before you ship. How-to steps for getting a device ready to sell follow the manufacturer's own instructions.
5. Keeping articles current
Prices update on their own. The rest of each article is reviewed at least once a quarter, and the "Updated" date changes when an article is meaningfully revised.
6. Corrections
If you spot an error, email Support@techtreewireless.com with a link to the article. We check every report, fix confirmed errors, and update the article's date when the change is meaningful.
